Weighted Lap Pads
Our weighted lap pads are designed to bring a sense of calm and focus during car rides, schoolwork, movie nights, or any time your child needs extra comfort.
Each pad is carefully handmade and filled with Poly Pellets—small, secure plastic beads—along with plush stuffing to keep them soft and cozy.
Size:
Standard pillow size (easy to carry, easy to use)
Weight Options: 3lbs – 10 lbs (recommended to be 5–10% of body weight for safety)
Customization:
Choose from classic base models or fun custom fabrics (with seasonal options available!)
Care: Wash in a commercial washing machine, top loader/non agitator machine at the laundromats. Cold, gentle cycle. - Fluff or Air Dry (Check manufacturer for weight limits)

“Hi, I’m Paige Koss, founder of Calming Creations. I’ve worked in healthcare as a CNA since 2010, but my greatest teacher has been my son, Carson.
He was diagnosed with autism in 2015, and through his journey I discovered how powerful the right sensory tools can be.From handmade weighted blankets and lap pads to custom chewy clips and picture communication aids, I started creating items that helped Carson feel calm, safe, and understood.
Now, I want to share these creations with other families navigating the same challenges. Every product I make is designed with care, comfort, and dignity in mind.”
